Other things good to know:
* acupuncture is a controlled act under the O. Reg. 107/96: Controlled Acts.
* registered acupuncturist and traditional chinese medicine practitioners are registered titles under Traditional Chinese Medicine Act 2006.
* both titles are regulated under the laws of Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care in Ontario – Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991.
* acupuncture performed by such titles, R.Ac. or R.TCMP, are the only healthcare providers who are professionally trained (3-6 years) to use needles, and fall under the regulatory board ctcmpao.
